Kicksledding
Kick sledding is a versatile form of exercise, as long as you remember to alternate your kicking leg from time to time.
Even recreational athletes can reach enjoyable speeds on a kick sled. To move at a brisk pace, you need a good level of fitness and it is helpful to learn a little about proper kicking technique and equipment. Kick sledding is at its best on longer distances, where you can easily travel faster than you could by running the same distance.
The equipment needed for kick sledding is a kick sled (racing or standard model) and spiked shoes (e.g. track spikes).
A helmet is mandatory. Other protective equipment is optional.
Remember to dress warmly – the wind on the ice can make it feel quite chilly!
