Updated event information will be sent to all participants on Thursday, 25th of February 2027.
RACE OFFICE (BIB NUMBER COLLECTION)
Your race bib number and timing chip can be collected from the race office by showing your QR code (check your email, including your spam folder!) or by giving your name.

Race Office Opening Hours (Bib Number Collection):
Friday, 26th February 2027: 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, 27th February 2027: 7:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Your race bib number is personal and may not be given to another person. Participation in the event is not possible without a race bib number.
For emergency situations: Please write the name and phone number of a close relative or emergency contact on the back of your race bib number. They can then be contacted if necessary during the race.
Avoid queues – register in advance!
We recommend completing your registration in advance using your own device and only collecting your race bib number from the race office. The race office can be busy on the event day, and queues may form.
Please collect your race bib number at least 30 minutes before your start time.
TIMING
We use the high-quality MyLaps timing system.
You will receive your race bib number and timing chip at the race office. Please collect your bib number and timing chip at least 30 minutes before your start time.
The timing chip is attached to your ankle and must be clearly visible. The timing chip must be returned immediately after the race. A €50 fee will be charged for any unreturned timing chip.
The race bib number must be attached to the back of your outermost layer of clothing and must be clearly visible throughout the race. The race bib number does not need to be returned.
Parking
No dedicated parking area is reserved for event participants.

EQUIPMENT STORAGE (CHANGING TENT)
Equipment storage is available in the changing tent on the ice. Participants must attach the Equipment Storage sticker (the tear-off part of the race bib number) to their backpack or bag.
Items can only be collected by presenting the corresponding race bib number. The equipment storage is supervised from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The organizer is not responsible for lost or damaged items, so please pack your belongings carefully.

CHANGING CLOTHES
You can change clothes at the Scandic Kuopio hotel or in the changing tent located on the ice. The changing tent is an unheated space and is equipped with benches and coat racks.
BRING A CHANGE OF WARM CLOTHES
This is an outdoor event on natural ice. Wind can significantly increase the perceived cold, as it causes heat and moisture to evaporate from the skin, increasing heat loss. Even when the air temperature remains unchanged, windy weather can feel considerably colder on the skin than calm conditions.
Please bring warm clothes to the changing tent that you can put on after your activity.
TOILETS
Toilets are located behind the changing tent and in front of the starting area. The toilets at Scandic Kuopio are also available for participants.
SHOWERS AND SAUNA
Participants can use the sauna and showers at Scandic Kuopio (Sauna 3).
The mixed sauna is open on Saturday, 27 February 2027, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There is no access to an ice hole.
Please bring your own swimsuit and towel. A towel can also be rented from the hotel reception for €6 per person.
FIRST AID
First aid is available at the start and finish areas. First aid can also be provided along the route if necessary. The first aid station is located next to the main event ramp.
SAFETY
A helmet is mandatory in all categories. For safety reasons, we recommend wearing elbow and knee pads.
WITHDRAWING FROM THE RACE
If you have to withdraw from the race for any reason, please inform the event officials. If necessary, transportation from the route to the finish/start area can be arranged.
AID STATION
The aid station is located along the route near the starting area, approximately 200 metres from the start.
The aid station offers refreshments such as hot berry juice, raisins and salted crackers.
PERSONAL SUPPORT / OWN SUPPORT CREW
Personal support and support crews must stay behind the aid station tent. Please be considerate of other participants and do not block their way or interfere with their activities.
RIGHTS TO USE EVENT PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
The event will be photographed and filmed by the organizer. The organizer has unrestricted rights to use photographs and video recordings taken during the event. By participating in the event, you accept these terms.
Photographs will be published after the event on the event’s social media channels and website.
CHANGES, TRANSFER OF PARTICIPATION AND CANCELLATIONS

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY
Each participant takes part in the event at their own risk. Participants are not insured by the event organizer. Each participant is responsible for obtaining their own insurance.
The event organizer is not responsible for equipment failures or damage to equipment.
The organizers reserve the right to stop a participant who is too tired to continue. If you withdraw from the event, you must notify the nearest event official.

START AREA – BLUE START FLAGS
The start is located in front of the white changing tent, which will be dismantled once all starts have taken place.
The races begin with a mass start. The start is signaled by a starting gun. The start area is marked with blue START flags.
LAP TIMING
Lap timing is located underneath the finish arch.
STARTING A NEW LAP – UNDER THE FINISH ARCH
When starting a new lap, stay on the inside edge of the track and follow the left-hand side.
FINISH AREA – RED FINISH FLAGS
Your finish time is recorded when you pass underneath the finish arch.
Slow down and enter the finish area along the right-hand side. The finish area is clearly marked and is designated as a separate area. It is marked with red FINISH flags.
FINISH AND TIMING CLOSE AT 4:00 P.M.
If a participant does not reach the finish before the finish closes, their final time will be calculated based on their completed laps.
IF YOU MISS YOUR START
If a participant is late for their scheduled start, their official start time will still be the scheduled start time for their category.
EVENT CATERING – SOUP

AWARD CEREMONY
Prizes will be awarded according to the provisional schedule, or once the winners in each category have been confirmed.
12:30 p.m. – Skating categories
3:00 p.m. – Pole skating and kick sledding categories
All participants will receive a commemorative medal.
ARRIVAL AND PARKING AT THE EVENT
The area does not have a designated / reserved parking area. There is We recommend parking your car, e.g. under Kuopio market "Toriparkki". Read more here
GEAR STORAGE (in big white changing tent)
Gear storage is in the changing tent on the ice. Participants must attach a Gear Storage sticker (detachable part of the race number) to their backpack or bag. Items are only released to the applicant upon presentation of the race number. The organizer is not responsible for lost or damaged items, so pack your gear carefully. Gear storage is supervised between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM
CLOTHING CHANGE
You can change clothes in the Scandic Kuopio facilities or in the changing tent located on the ice. The changing tent (cold space) has benches and coat racks.
This is an outdoor event held on natural ice. Even if the air temperature remains the same, windy conditions feel much colder on the skin than calm weather.
Please bring warm spare clothes to the changing tent so you can put them on after your performance.

The afterparty starts at 19:00 / 7:00 PM.
The venue is reserved until 21:00 / 9:00 PM, after which it will open to other customers. You can continue the evening at the venue after 21:00 / 9:00 PM.
Teerenpeli closes at 03:00 / 3:00 AM.
