New updates of Finland Ice Marathon 2021

The Regional State Administrative Agency of Eastern Finland (22.12.2020) has banned all public events and general meetings of more than 20 people. The command has been implemented from 23 December 2020 to 22 January 2021.

It is required to obey the restrictions and recommendations regarding the COVID-19 situation.

The Regional State Administrative Agency of Eastern Finland will make decisions for February 2021 no later than 20 January 2021. The final decisions to the event will be made as soon as the latest restriction release. For this reason, Finland Ice Marathon has also closed the registration system. It will be reopened if the event could be held typically. The prices also have changed as down below.

If the traditional Finland Ice Marathon is unable to organize, the plan is to change to the new form – Virtual Finland Ice Marathon. It allows participants to join during week 8th without gathering a crowd. New divisions, tracks, and rules will be announced as soon as there is an update about the event´s organization.

If the event is canceled, the right to participate for all those who have already registered will be automatically transferred to the 2022 event for free. We will keep closely in touch with all registrants.

Of course, it is possible to skate on natural ice despite the COVID-19!

Natural ice skating tracks will be worked on right after the weather condition allows.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram! We will update the iciest information about natural ice skating rinks.
