BICYCLING

Track
Length of the track is at least 4 km. To a new round of each lap, please use the right line and at the finish the left line. The finish area has been separated to two lines.
Rules
The competition is following the "instructions and rules for studded tyre cycling on natural ice". Rules are attached below. Read Instructions and rules carefully.
Using a helmet is compulsory during the entire competition and training on the track.
Using studded tyres on the bike is compulsory for safety reasons.
The use of aerobars and tube extenders is forbidden. Also the use of an electronic bike is forbidden.
Timing chip and Competition number
Timing chip have to attach to ankle and timing chip must be returned. If the chip is not returned you will be charged a fine of 50 €. Competition numbers will be attached to the back and the bike's rod. Competition number will not be returned.
Inspection
Competitor must present bike, helmet, competition number and other accessories least half an hour before the start.
Service
Service area for competitors is about 200 meters after finish area. There are sports drink etc. There are toilets in the servicing area. The personal service area for competitors is immediately after the maintenance area of the competition organizer. There are soup, bread and juice available near competition center (address: Minna Canthin katu 4) that includes in involvement payment. Hotel Scandic (Satamakatu 1) offers a sauna and swimming. There are warm dressing and accessory tents on the ice.
Prizes
The best three men and the best three women of every race are given trophies and flowers right after finishing in the finish area.
The ending
The start gate will be closed at 2 pm.
First-Aid
There is First-Aid group servicing in the area.

Service area for skaters is about 200 meters after finish area. There are sports drink edc. There are toilets in the servicing area. The personal service area for skaters is immediately after the maintenance area of the competition organizer. There are soup, bread and juice available near competition center, that includes in involvement payment. Competitors soup are served after race. Hotel Scandic (Satamakatu 1) offers a sauna and swimming. Obs! Sauna is common fot ladies and gentleman, there is own shower and dressingroom. There are warm dressing and accessory tents on the ice.
Prizes
The best three men and the best three women of every races are strewed with flowers immediately after finishing on the performing stage of the event. The best three skaters of races will be given prizes at the Skater´s night.
The ending
Start gate will be closed at 5 pm. The last round should start before that.
Protests
The jury of the competition handles all the protests. A protest will be done at the latest 30 minutes after the ending of the competition. The protest will be left to the senior judge. Protest payment is 50 € which will be given back if the protest is accepted.

There is a first aid group servicing in the area.

Skater’s responsibility
Skaters take part in the competition with their own responsibility and take care of their own accident insurance safety. We recommend using a helmet and an elbow and knee pads.
Finnish Championship is same time as normal competition serie. For participating in the Finnish Championship you need to have a license from the Finnish Speed Skating Association (Suomen Luisteluliitto). The license must be presented in the race office. You don´t need any license if you skate in normal competition serie.
ICE SKATING (RECREATIONAL)
Races:
- Ice skating with ski-poles (50 and 25km)
- Ice skating (12,5km)
- Ice skating youth, for 15-years-old or younger (12,5km)
- Children marathon for 12-years-old and younger (2km)
Start
12,5 km for men and women at 12 pm
25 km with ski-poles for M/W at 13 pm
50 km with ski-poles for M/W at 13 pm
